Were you wondering if you should sign your child up for the Five Star Olympics event?
Here are the TOP 6 reasons why you should come to this event!
1. Any child that takes lessons here, ages 2.5 and up, can participate in this event! Yes, even Guppies will be able to participate... Each skill level will have the opportunity to race their peers in an appropriate event for their age/level. For beginners who are not independent yet, this may involve kick boards or noodles.2. It is safe! We will have plenty of our awesome staff in the water to assist any children that need help during the race. We will also have lifeguards on deck to monitor all children in the pool.
3. It is a fun, friendly way to be introduced to competitive swimming! Many parents ask us about swim teams so their child can put the skills they are learning to use in a competitive environment. This event is a great way to get a taste of what a swim team is like!
4. Have your child experience the pride of winning a GOLD MEDAL! Stop in the office to see what the gold medals look like if you are curious. What kid wouldn't want one hanging in their room? All children who come to the event will get a medal to take home that day.
5. Get a chance to play with our awesome inflatable toys and have some free time in the pool. After races, all children will get to swim and relax with their friends! (Students may be asked to wear a life jacket during free play time.)
6. Get recognized for doing an amazing job! Yes, everyone is getting a medal, but we will still be posting the best times for each event. This means we will be recording the time for each swimmer and creating a Leader Board that will be displayed in the facility for all to see. Who will be at the top? We will see on Friday, April 29th!
The event is approximately 1 hour - 1 hour 30 minutes long.
The start time for all Guppies is 5pm.
The start time for all Dolphins is 6pm.
The start time for all Sharks and Sea Lions is 7pm.
Private, Semi Private, and Stroke Development students may still participate....see the office to determine which time to sign up for.
